Details:
Mild and a little breezy, moderate humidity but no dew or frost. Tried to wait for calm air. Single 36 sec exposure at ISO 800, prime focus method through 8" SCT alt-az mount and Canon T2i. Used Canon utility's Live View onto laptop screen. Even unmagnified and the nebula being a dark image, this helped me center M42.
