Details:
It has been a windy and wet day across much of the UK. However the clouds cleared this evening to reveal the beautiful crescent moon bathed in Earthshine. This is the brightest Earthshine I have ever seen. To bring out the detail more I decided to use a telephoto rather than wide angle lens. I was amazed that you could make out lunar features that were lit purely by Earthshine. Details: Canon EOS 450D 75-300mm telephoto lens 5 seconds, f/5.6 ISO 800
