Details:
When the clouds allowed, I was able to catch glimpses of what looked like a (mostly) stable auroral arc, although for long spells I couldn't see a thing. Excess cloud appears to have been a common theme in several regions this winter. Locals here in Iceland say that their weather this winter has been unseasonably warm, cloudy and wet; far from ideal conditions for those hoping to witness or photograph the northern lights. Tell me about it! Canon 60D, Tokina 11-16mm F2.8, ISO 1600, (20-30 secs)
