Details:
I imaged M81 and M82 as a wide-field composition, oblivious to the fact that I captured the Supernova 2 days before it's official discovery! Only loaded the image to PC after hearing the news! Glad to have captured early but what a missed opportunity!! Details: Canon EOS 350D with Astronomik CLS light pollution clip filter in camera body, single 112s exposure at ISO 800 through William Optics ZS71 f/5.9 refractor with 0.8x focal reducer/field flattener on Skywatcher EQ6-pro mount, taken at 23:02UT.
