As I was heading to work I could already notice from a 4km distance that Lake Ontario was looking very strange, so I made a detour and headed to the lakefront. When I got there it looked like it was filled with dry ice and there were hundreds of vortices constantly forming, racing across the lake or rising up and disappearing.
