It's always panic that strikes you first when some of your fellow aurora hunters shout "CORONA"! Here you are, composing a nice setting for your shots and everything suddenly change. This photo was captured during a trip for spotting good sites to shoot aurora. I was minding my own buisness and composing a nice, but quite ordernary, shot of some slow moving auroras, when suddenly my friend shouted "CORONA" I looked up and there it was. The most perfect aurora corona I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot. Captured with Nikon D800, 14-24mm f2.8, 14mm, ISO 2000, 8 seconds, f 2.8.
