Details:
Solar imaging can be quite challenging particularly when it comes to adjusting multiple parameters during image capture. These include DS Etalons, gamma, gain, exposure, focusing, stacking, wavelets, histogram scale, sharpening mask, false colour and colour gamma correction. The permutations and combinations of these are numerous and, result in significant image differences as demonstrated in the following sequence—all captured within moments of each other. Note the differences in sunspots, filaments, plague, surface texture and prominences. Equipment included Lunt 60 DS PT, capture with IC Cap 2.2, stacking with Avistack 2 and wavelets with Registax 6. Colour manipulation with PSP7. East/West reversed.
