Details:
Giant sunspot 1944 is visible even through a 100mm lens without filter! Well, without any man made filter whatsoever. Using clouds as a natural filter I tried to catch a glimpse of AR 1944 but I also got a very nice color display due to the water molecules in the clouds. Canon 550D and Canon 100mm Macro lens. No filter! But do not try this with your eyes through the camera viewfinder!
