Details:
I imaged the rising Sun this morning with a huge sunspot at its eastern limb, AR1944. The next image shows a high resolution image of AR1944 taken yesterday morning. For the sunrise image, I used a Canon 100-400 mm lens (unfiltered) at 400 mm, 2x Canon extender, Canon 50D, 1/640 sec, f/14, ISO100. For the high resolution image, I used a Takahashi TSA 102, 3x Barlow, Baader Herschel wedge, DMK31AU03 camera.
