Details:
Another superb sunset with Venus hanging still high above the horizon. The differences in the aspect of the planet since December 23 are obvious: the illuminated surface of the disc has decrease while the diameter of the planet has increased, as it is evident in the attached comparison, in which both images were acquired with the same equipment. The observing session ended with both me and my wife observing the planet through the 4.5" Refractor at 180x. Moments before, my wife snapped a panoramic picture while I was photographing the planet with a Canon camera.
