And yet another superb sunset with Venus hanging above the horizon, but also just a few degrees above a thick layer of clouds. Eventually, that thick layer of clouds came and covered the planet, but just before they did, a small but nice corona appeared around the crescent. I have used a 4.5 inch refractor for the corona images at F/7, and an 18-55mm lens for the wide-field image, both in combination with a Canon 550D camera. The corona images are 10 second exposures at ISO 800, while the wide-field image is a 6 second shot at ISO 800.
