Details:
I watched the Geminid meteors from Aberdeen beach during the early hours of Saturday morning, and viewed over 30 meteors in around an hour and a half. Even managed to view 4 very bright meteors whilst driving home to Inverurie around 0630 UTC. The 2 meteors were caught on my 450d, which was left on a timer. The fireball was at 0036 UTC, and not likely to be a Gemenid, but the second fainter meteor caught at 0137 UTC is probably a Gemenid, with the added bonus of a faint aurora in the background. 18mm lens, f2.8, ISO640, 40 second exposures.
