Aurora Panoramas
Taken by LeRoy Zimmerman on December 7, 2013 @ Just outside of Fairbanks, Alaska, near the village of Ester, which is my home territory. Shooting location is about 5 minutes from my front door. Was lucky to have somewhere so close. This display lasted about 1/2 an hour, shooting was from 19:50 to 20:15 local time.

Some more shots from the evening of 12/7! An evening like none other I have ever had. Each pano covers about 150° of sky. Canon 6D, f2.8, exposure 2 seconds, ISO 4000. Then the gentle kiss of Photoshop to make the image sing. A once of a kind evening!
