Details:
Very cold night but it was worth! Comet Lovejoy hanged magnificent over NE horizon before dawn framed by Corona Borealis and M13. Easily visible to naked eye (mag. aprox. 4,5), the tail extended for more than 10 degrees. Even with a medium tele-lens and short expositions, complex structures in the tail can be seen.
All single photos with Nikon D700, ISO 1600, AiS objectives, mounted on Startracker. 20mm f/4 120s, Lovejoy centered, zodiacal light on the right; 50mm f/2 30s, with M13 down left and 85mm f/2 30s with meteor and satellites. The animated GIF is based on a stack of 7 shots 85mm f/2 ISO 1600 and 25s each, plus darks and offsets.
