Details:
Comet C/2013 R1 Lovejoy was a beautiful object over Glenshane Pass this morning between 03.00 and 04.15. The comet was easily visible as a fuzzy star between Bootes and Hercules near mag +4.0 with a long straight tail 5 degrees long with the naked eye. Using the camera the tail was at least 7 degrees long!, the green coma is lovely - excuse the pun. Canon 50mm F/1.8 lens Canon 450D ISO1600
