My cat woke me up at 2:00 AM and looking out the window I saw stars instead of the forecasted fog. After a coffee I went out, set my cameras and began taking pics. One of the cameras' was equipped with 10mm lens to catch most possible meteors, the other was with 50mm lens to take pics of comet Lovejoy. This one caught 5 meteors together with the comet, this vivid green one was the best of them. Two more brigh meteors fell outside the 50mm's FOV, but the other camera could record them, you can find all the meteors here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/48975225@N08/sets/72157638339703744/
As the Geminids are coming, I'd spend most possible time outside - it seems to be easy to have spectacular meteors with the beautiful comet Lovejoy!
