I love your updates. Thank you for taking the time to put up the blow-by-blow. I was able to see ISON at perihelion using my digital SLR/telephoto lens setup with some crazy filtering and aperture manipulation. I was following your posts here while I was taking photos during the hour leading up to perihelion. When NASA said it was dead I saw it brighten in my camera....and you were THE ONLY one saying it wasnt dead...I knew what I saw was not dead either (but I am not a *real* astronomer and supposed that the thing that looked like a comet I was shooting maybe was something else?)....anyway, thanks for the dedication. It has made my long weekend more enjoyable to see you parsing this all out.

Thanks biomechanix its truly appreciated. I am sure many others were shocked as all get out once they followed over to spaceweathergallery to see the pics. For some strange reason the youtube comment system was not allowing copy/paste after a first use is why I did not link direct to pics and movies there.
