I found the comet on the computer screen after arriving my home. Just the sun was so bright. I could not see the comet on the site. CANON EOS 6D SEO-SP4, EF 70-200mm F4L IS USM, ISO100, F16, 1/4000s

Nice picture but I doubt it to be comet Ison.
According to my astroprogram, at the time the Sun rose over New Zealand, comet Ison should have been 50% closer to the Sun and more to the right.

This is not a comet. Just a sunrise stuff, sorry.

I did not update my astro-software in these days. After updating the comet position must be more to the right.

Lets keep the question open. Might it be a question of air refraction just above the horizon? Further, the astronomy program which I use (Stellarium) always gives an image of the sky slightly rotated clockwise relative to what I see in my own pictures, and I thought this could depend on where Im in my timezone.

The comet was several million times less bright than the sun, so to capture them both in the same photo would be very difficult.
