Details:
Comet Lovejoy C/2013 R1 is getting lower in the NE horizon and we only have a few more days to image this comet as it plunges into the sun. The sky was hazy this morning and together with the city's light pollution and still bright moon light made it very challenging to bring out the comet's tail in my image. I used my TMB-92SS refractor, Canon 7D camera at prime focus, to take 10 50-sec subs at ISO 800 which was stacked in Deep Sky Stacker and processed in Photoshop. I also took low power images of Lovejoy this morning between 4 to 5 AM PST using my Canon 50D with a 70-200 mm EFS lens at 175 mm, 6.2 sec exposures at ISO1600, f/4.
