Details:
Did some comet imaging before going to work on Monday, November 18.
Managed to find comets Lovejoy (2013 R1) and ISON (2012 S1), despite a bright background from the full moon in the western sky and twilight in the eastern sky. The bright sky pretty much washed out any detail in the tails of the comets.
The bright star to the upper left of ISON is Spica.
Lovejoy was definitely bigger, brighter, and more easily seen in binoculars. Hopefully ISON will improve after Perihelion and put on a good show in the first week of December.
