Comet ISON is waving its tail at us, as it heads for the Sun...10 days til Perihelion, closest approach, if it survives we will have a nice show in the Morning sky after December 9th or 10th.... Okay finished processing out the Full moon & Light gradients out my Comet ISON images from last night....what a pain that bright Moon is....but luckily I have some experience dealing with gradients....after cleaning these up, it Shows the Comets Waving its Tail in this major Disconnection Event caught in the act as it passed by Alpha Virgo The Bright Star Spica this morning! The Comets Nucleus is still intact and it continues its journey toward the Sun....to see us on the other side! Alpha Virgo - Spica is at the top of the frame! Here is several variations of the 13.5 minute shot 21 x 30 sec, 2x60, @ISO 800 2 x 30 sec@ ISO1600... Canon Rebel Xsi DSLR & 80mm University Optics Refractor, 480 FL, ISO 800 & 1600, a variety of exposures ranging from 30 seconds to 60 seconds, then Stacked on the comets Nucleus! 11-18-2013 @ 05:52am to 06:12am EST Best Regards, John Chumack www.galacticimages.com
