Details:
This image of Comet Lovejoy was taken at 04:27 UT on November 17. The full Moon and, possibly, a very thin layer of high-altitude cloud, gave the sky a milky, low-contrast appearance. However, the seeing was very steady and I did manage to record the comet's tail.
Imaging equipment: Sky-Watcher 100ED, HEQ5 mount, Canon EOS 60D at prime focus. Exposure details: 180 Seconds @ f/9, ISO-800. Guiding equipment: Sky-Watcher 80ED, StarShoot Autoguider.
About an hour before sunrise, I also photographed Comet ISON which, at the time, was about 2.5 degrees above 1st magnitude star Spica. Not too impressive I know, but better than nothing.
