C2 lines produce at 2450 K temp in electric furnace experiments. At higher temp more energetic lines started coming. All are from vibrational molecular state of C2 .. is comet at more than 2450 K temp???.. what a hot environment near sun..Ahhhhhhhh!!!!!... Vikrant Kumar Agnihotri
