Well, easy Comet Lovejoy in 15x70's was like looking at a light greenish M31. Could not detect a tail though. But nice in the binocs. As for ISON - I could not see it at all in binoculars and searched for 30 minutes. I attach 2 images of both comets. Lovejoy - 20 sec, f/5.6, 800 ISO and lens at 170mm. ISON was same lens but at 300mm and a 30 sec exposure. Used that iOptron old cube mount to follow stars or else they be trailed. Look at Lovejoy if you're up.. better than ISON :)
