Bright red aurora, visible to the naked eye over the Sondrestrom Research Facility near Kangerlussuaq, Greenland. Earlier in the night, both diffuse and arc aurora over the 32 m (105 feet) incoherent scatter radar dish used for ionospheric and space research.
