Details:
An awesome night for viewing the northern lights here in northern Canada ( Tuktoyaktuk, NT )! I usually have to get away from the local light pollution ( ie. street lights )to get a better view to shoot the aurora borealis, but on this night the lights were directly over the hamlet of Tuktoyaktuk and were clearly visible and more vibrant than usual. These photos were shot with my Nikon D300s and a 10.5mm Nikon DX Fisheye lens at 10 - 20sec ex. at 800 ISO
