Details:
Venus, at maximum elongation (47.1°), can be seen high in the sky of Rio in the first 2 photos. The planet set some amazing 219 minutes after the Sun this evening. Currently measuring 25.4", it is about half-lit (49.1% illuminated) as shown in the last 2 photos, taken with a 300-400x zoom. A Sony DSC-HX300 camera was used for all shots at around 21:50 UT.
