Details:
Bright Venus (first 3 photos) is about as high as it can get (47.0° from the Sun and altitude of 39.4° at 21:33 UT). In contrast, Mercury is currently a challenging target. It was only 12.9° from the Sun and 4.5° above the southwestern horizon of Rio de Janeiro when I luckily managed to capture it. It is hardly visible as a pale dot in the last picture, taken with a Sony DSC-HX300 camera at 21:37 UT.
