Details:
Considering that thin clouds passed over parts of the Milky Way while I took this, I'm happy with how the medianed stack came out. Clouds were persistent at the bottom and left hand side. Details: Canon 5D II, Mamiya 645-format 24mm fisheye lens, Astrotrac. ISO 1600, f/4, 15 minutes [7x 2 minutes + 1x 1 minute).

Nice picture... It says under the title Milky Way- Taken by Ray Butler on August 5, 2013... Then when you click to view EXIF data it says Date Taken: 2013:10:18 10:30:47... So which is it?

Thanks, Neil.

The correct date is August 5. October 18 was the date of creation/modification of the file. I guess the Spaceweather system assumes that whatever date it can glean from the file is the Date taken.

I had the raw files kicking around for a while; just hadnt tweaked a nice version to post until the other day.

In fact, this was the same night and session (August 5) that I shot a pretty good aurora; I posted a couple of the aurora shots here within a day or two.
