Outburst of Comet C/2012 X1 (LINEAR)
Taken by Ernesto Guido, Martino Nicolini & Nick Howes on October 21, 2013 @ The predicted magnitude of comet C/2012 X1 (LINEAR) was about 14. The comet is in outburst and now its total magnitude is about 8.5. The comet shows a morphology similar to that of comet 17P/Holmes during the 2007 outburst.
