There has not been a lot of sun in these parts lately but there was some sunshine late in the day. And there is a lot going on! Filaments and spots and hot spots dot the surface.

Solarmax 60II f/6.6, Canon XTi ISO 800, surface 1/800 sec. prominences 1/250 sec. East and West are reversed.

The surface and prominence shots are 5 layer stacks. Treated with Lynkeos' Lucy-Richardson algorithm and Photoshop for stacking, montage and colour.
