Viewing and capturing the Northern Lights is always an awe-inspiring experience. Here's another image from the quick but beautiful aurora show earlier this week. This photo shows the intense red, green & orange hues, the defined spikes and the incredible oval. This is one frame from a 40 minute time lapse I set up next to this small pond. This image has been processed through Lightroom 4 & Photoshop CS5.
