Details:
After a quick early morning check of this site, I noted that there were a few images of the aurora from locations not TOO far north of here. Grabbed the camera and went out to a not-very-dark site with a good view to the north. Nothing was visible to the unaided eye but I went ahead and shot a few long-exposure frames. And, lo-and-behold, there is a faint red glow on the horizon.
