Details:
I seen that the Bz dropped to -22 so I headed outside of town to see if I could catch any color. I set up the camera and could see no color but I did see a couple of meteors flying so I put on the wide angle lens to see what I could catch. I was sitting in my star gazing chair watching the sky when the northern horizon lit up red to the eye. It did not last long but by the time I switched back to the 28mm lens it was filling my screen. The red was quite visible to the naked eye, it made it worth the quick trip out of town to check the horizon.

Great capture! Nice to know we have any chance, ever, of seeing anything like this in Kansas! I know there have been a couple of Aurora sightings in Roeland Park, KS in the last 30 years, but I missed both.
