Details:
Auroras in central Minnehaha County in southeast South Dakota just before midnight tonight. A brilliant red burst shown from the arc of green on the horizon just after I set up my camera. The reds were clearly visible to the naked eye, which is rare in my experience. The red flares didn't last long, but were amazing to witness.
