Details:
Last night a Falcon 9 rocket was launched from the Vandenberg Air force Base, California. Its flight path took it over Antarctica at 19h03 local time and a few minutes later over South Africa. Excess fuel were jettisoned that left a big bright white ball of light in the sky. The ball of light was seen throughout South Africa. These are the pictures.
