Details:
While everybody is talking about northern autumnal equinox as the start of autumn we have seen many trees dropping their leaves already and was my car window at 20:30h. already covered with a thin ice layer when I started today´s aurora observation nr.25. The start temperature was fresh with -1C ;-) Soon the auroras appeared and were showing nice and colourful displays reflecting in the lake where fish were splashing in the water and the wooper swans were trumpeting their characteristic songs. Happily the clouds stayed most of the time away! Also several satellites, one shooting star and several bright flashes of light from unidentified objects.
