Details:
Late afternoon was mostly overcast at the Outer Banks of NC, on Hatteras Island however a clearing sky appeared off to the northeast. I realized that the grey sky was about to change very quickly. Headed to a predetermined spot and set up the R5 on a tripod as well as the iPhone 14 ProMax. (all these pix are from the iPhone.) The sun quickly dropped below the clouds and the sky exploded into color. The multilevel clouds went to work after the sun dropped below the horizon reflecting an artist’s pallet of color. Crepuscular rays reflecting off Pamlico Sound made fascinating mirror images. One if the finest sunsets I’ve ever beheld!!
