It was discovered on August 6 2026 by the New Milky Way–TexasTech wide-field sky patrol, using Rokinon 135-mm telephoto lenses with high-sensitivity Sony IMX455 sensors.

The nova is at J2000 coordinates R.A. 05h 21m 07.63s, Dec. +23° 38' 19.4" Good information here :
