Details:
Messier 67 (M67), also cataloged as NGC 2682, is a remarkably unique open star cluster located approximately 2,700 light-years away in the constellation Cancer. While most open clusters are relatively young and disperse quickly due to gravitational disruption, M67 stands out as one of the oldest known open clusters in the Milky Way galaxy, with an estimated age between 3.2 and 5 billion years.
