Details:
Enjoyable view of the partial solar eclipse from Chester NY. The eclipse was not much more than 10% from our location, but I thoroughly enjoyed the view through the telescope (with solar filter!) I was amazed how much detail was visible, including sunspots, and even the hills and valleys along the rim of the blackened moon! The contours are just visible in the photos.
Two photos taken at 17:31UT and 17:54UT show the movement of the moon across the sun.
Photos taken with Pixel 7a phone camera through 32x eyepiece of Leica APO Televid scope, through some thin cirrus cloud.
