Details:
This was my 90th solar eclipse and was successful from Burgos, Spain. A most unusual eclipse with threats from country-wide wildfires. At central eclipse the Sun was 8 degrees elevation and a wildfire smoky haze line was present for several days about 1 degree BELOW the sun at totality. As the Sun sank after central eclipse it took on a super orange, then red hue. I split my 103 member Johnson Space Center Astronomical Society team into 2 groups about 50 miles apart and both were able to see the eclipse. However, it was nearly impossible to get decent images once totality had ended due to the atmosphere at our sites.
