What a fantastic evening… a magnificent solar eclipse and one of the most beautiful sunsets I've ever witnessed. The setting of the crescent Sun… A few more people gathered at my observation point on the Landberg hill near Herzogswalde A large cirrus cloud, which of course was positioned directly in the direction of the Sun and which I initially thought would be quite distracting, ultimately provided a stunning background for the setting crescent Sun.
The photo shows the greatest eclipse at 20:11 CEST with 88% coverage of the solar disk by the Moon…
