Project Notes: Orbital dust trail still present as a razor straight line. Surprisingly, the dust tail (seen as a brownish-yellow fan) still holds the 4 o'clock position (as noted since June 14th) and remains below the right side dust trail. Even more interesting is the twisting appearance as the dust tail then appears to migrate upward, over and along the orbital trail. Is there some form of resonance or "shepherding" by the planets that forces the dust tail to concentrate the dust/grains/rocks into the orbital band of debris we are seeing? Just my questioning as I study the image I've been processing. This dust tail is behaving more like an ion tail as it migrates about, while still emanating from the same region of the coma from our vantage point.
