Details:
Early this morning I witnessed a beautiful thin crescent Moon (33h 19m before New Moon) rising above Stockholms northern skyline. There were also some thin NLCs. What always seems puzzling is that the earthshine should be at its strongest but is almost invisible. This is due to the strong scattering of the sunlight although the Sun is still bellow the horizon. But by reinforcing an image taken 4 min earlier it becomes faintly visible. /*Peter R
