Details:
Extreme heat in Europe – but things are heating up on the sun too. Figuratively speaking, of course… 😉 What a monster this sunspot group AR 4478 is! I actually didn't want to set up because of the heat, to save both myself and my equipment. It's a good thing I did! The seeing was one of the best this year. For a long time while filming, the image was practically still! The finest structures within the group are visible. On the right, a group of so-called pores. Darker granules from which such monsters ultimately develop! Intes 150/900 MN-61 + Baader VIP Barlow + Baader Solar Continuum Filter (1,25", 7nm at 540nm) + Baader Solar film OD 3.8, 3.9 ms per Frame, 15 % of 6000 Frames added.
