Details:
It was around 11:45 A.M. in Surprise, AZ, when I went outside in the beating 100℉ heat. The slim sliver of the crescent moon was hard to see in the boiling sky. Venus floated nearby, scintillating. I got out binoculars and observed the surprisingly bright orb, marveling at it. I set up my camera (a Canon Eos Rebel T7) and tripod, and started taking pictures every 15 seconds or so.
After it disappeared, I retreated from the merciless heat back inside, and waited until about 5 or so minutes before it emerged from the other side of the moon. I then set up my camera again, and took pictures as Venus slowly overtook the moon.
