Details:
The rising of the second (almost) Full Moon of May this evening… the first one, fittingly, rose on May 1st. In folklore, it's therefore also called the "Blue Moon." Taken from the Opitz hill near Freital-Weißig, Saxony. The striking mountain on the horizon is the Mt. Špičák in the Czech Republic, 723 m.The Mt. Špičák lies in the upper and easternmost Ore Mountains in North Bohemia, not far from Petrovice, right on the border with Saxony, Germany. Mt. Špičák is an old volcano whose summit consists of basalt and can be admired in the form of basalt columns.
