Details:
Comet C/2025 R3 (PANSTARRS) is now visible from Tucson for the next few weeks although it is only several degrees above the horizon in twilight skies when it becomes visible before it then dips into the thick atmospheric haze where it fades away before setting. The Orion Nebula is within several degrees of the comet for the next few evenings although it is not easy to get a nice picture of them together at these low altitudes in evening twilight. The comet is slowly fading and was calculated at magnitude 5.9 on the evening of May 9 MST, the image shows the comet in the orange evening twilight sky several degrees above the horizon with the Orion Nebula 6 degrees above the horizon.
