The other evening, still in full astronomical twilight, we confirmed the NEO 2026 JH discovered by the prolific ‘amateur astronomer’ Gennadiy Borisov from the well‑known L51 MARGO Observatory (Nauchnij, Crimea). Maybe it was the perfect time of night, but in just over 20 minutes of observations at least 10 Starlink satellites crossed the field of view (FOV 54.92' × 41.20'). Fortunately, this time the trails missed the asteroid… 2026-05-07 // from 19:41:17 to 20:04:08 UT // total exposure 120x10s 0.61-m reflector (f/4) + N-AGK3 COMA CORR. 1.14x (f/4.5) + CMOS Moravian C5-100M FOV 54.92' x 41.20' Software used for satellite identification: Project Pluto GUIDE 9.1 Apollo asteroid 2026 JH confirmed at 19.7 magnitude by the 595 Farra d’0.61-m telescope // closest approach May 11 at 23:03 // distance 1.7 million km // size 16-36 m
